Symptoms

While starting Oracle HTTP Server 12c on privileged port (below 1024) on Linux 6, it always fails with the error:

Changes

Changed the Listen port to a privileged port (<= 1024) and followed the Documentation steps:

<Note 1620675.1> How to Enable Oracle HTTP Server 12c to Listen On Ports Less Than 1024 (e.g 80 and 443 ( Unix only )
