Slow JDBC Thin Connections When Established to the Database Server With IBM JDK (Doc ID 1599929.1)

Symptoms

JDBC Thin 10.2.0.1 or higher connections on an AIX database 11.2.0.2 server using IBM JDK are very slow.
SQL*Net connections (SQl*Plus or JDBC OCI) are fast. For example, SQl*Net connections can take about 1020 milliseconds while JDBC Thin connections take 29010 milliseconds.
Remote JDBC Thin connections work fast as well.
