How To Calculate The SCN Value In Extract Status To Compare To Current_scn? (Doc ID 1600222.1)

Last updated on JULY 19, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate - Version 11.2.1.0.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When doing the command "send extract xx status" I get, for instance:

GGSCI (hqbuun541) 42> send e_jp status
Sending STATUS request to EXTRACT E_JP ...
EXTRACT E_JP (PID 9372244)
 Current status: Recovery complete: Processing data
 Current read position:
 Redo thread #: 1
 Sequence #: 198315
 RBA: 335376
 Timestamp: 2013-11-11 16:11:57.000000
 SCN: 78.924145222 <=====================
 Current write position:
 Sequence #: 1548
 RBA: 401683
 Timestamp: 2013-11-11 16:12:31.811533
 Extract Trail: /oraacfs/goldengate/gg/dirdat/jp/jp

When going to the database to see the SCN, the value from current_scn is completely different:

SQL> select current_scn from v$database;

  CURRENT_SCN
----------------------
  335931612762

How do I translate the "SCN" to compare to the database SCN?
