WebCenter Portal - 'New Forum' Link Malformed in Notification E-mail (Doc ID 1600356.1)

Symptoms

Users receive e-mail notification after a new Forum is created. The e-mail includes links to the Forum and the Group Space in which the Forum is created. However, the links in the e-mail are malformed:

- The hyperlink of the newly created Forum is malformed. Accessing this link results in a HTTP 404 (Page not found) error.
- The hyperlink to the Group Space may point to a different server where the FMW/WebCenter setup is configured to be accessed using different URLs internally/externally.

Note: In a default setup, users can only created Topics in an existing Forum. To enable users to create Forums, the Group Space settings must be updated to allow Forum creation by all users.

 

Following errors are reported in the WC_Collaboration managed server's diagnostics log:
