Character Encoding Support In Content Presenter (Doc ID 1600642.1)

Symptoms

Documents containing special (non-ASCII) characters, uploaded to Content Server, are rendered in a WebCenter Portal Page via the Content Presenter task flow. All these special characters are display garbled.

Note, the solution provided in this document may apply to other task flows where content is consumed, like Pagelet Producer, Web Page component, etc.

 

Changes

Upload a file (with non-ASCII special characters in its contents) to the Content Server either via Document Explorer task flow or directly via the UCM interface.
Display the uploaded file in a Page via the Content Presenter task flow.
