Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1.1.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
1. WLS 10.3.6 installed.
2. FMW IM 11.1.1.7.0 installed only. Not configured.
3. Final step running $ORACLE_HOME/bin/config.sh to configure and upgrade from OID 10.1.4.3 to OID 11.1.1.7. Connecting to OID 10.1.4.3 database repository.
4. At this point Configuration assistant reports issue and stop additional
steps. Print screen from Configuration assistant:
NOTE: It was discovered same issue in the upgrading process from 10.1.2.3 to 11.1.1. 7 on AIX platform.
Follow symptom was observed:
Oracle Fusion Middleware Upgrade Assistant fails:
During OID Details:
Invalid Connect
UPGAST-00090: failed to connect to Oracle Internet Directory
<HOSTNAME>:636
received fatal alert: illegal_parameter
Same solution fixes this issue.
5. Error messages reported in the installation log file:
