Symptoms

When attempting to create an ODI version 11.1.1.7.0 JEE Agent under Topology with IP port numbers below values of 1024, the following message is signaled:

This issue is specific to ODI version 11.1.1.7.0. With other versions it is possible to create JEE Agents with port number values of less than 1024.

For JEE agents, as part of HA configuration where one is required to use load balancers, it is necessary to listen to HTTP/HTTPS ports of values such as 80 or 443.
As such, you should be able to create JEE Agents in ODI Topology with port numbers below 1024.

 

This issue does not occur for Standalone Agents because it is clearly mentioned in the documentation that you need to use port number between 1024 and 65535 for standalone agent.
