Exalogic : Error when adding Disk to an existing vServer "Target value exceeded maximum of 4 for the VM domain type" (Doc ID 1605740.1)

Symptoms

When adding an additional disk to a guest vServer, getting the following error message:

Attach Virtual Disks to Virtual Machine Failed. Exception occurred: com.oracle.ovm.mgr.api.exception.RuleException: OVMRU_005038E VM: REPO-PRD01, Target Number: 4. Target value exceed maximum of 3 for the VM domain type

Different variation of this error message can also be seen :

OVMRU_005038E VM: vm-generic, Target Number: 4. Target value exceeded maximum of 4 for the VM domain type.
