Symptoms
Under load, the connection that WCC Imaging makes to WCC is failing with users receiving a Repository error.
When examining the Imaging Diagnostic logs, the following error is reported:
TCM-00787: A repository error occurred.
faultType: SYSTEM
faultDetails:
ErrorCode = oracle.stellent.ridc.protocol.ProtocolException, ErrorMessage = Unable to initialize socket connection to Content Server 'idc://<server_name>:4444'
Caused by: oracle.stellent.ridc.protocol.ProtocolException: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset by peer
When tcptr -show was run, it returned the following to the port range for port 4444 and it showed the limit for 4444 is 256 (after accounting for the divisor):
