How to Configure OVD to Set the uid Attribute Value to Be Case-Insensitive? (Doc ID 1607323.1)

Last updated on APRIL 01, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Virtual Directory - Version 10.1.4.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When the users' uid values is returned from Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) in uppercase, then users are not able to authenticate via a Service Provider which is configured to be case-sensitive and cannot be changed.

The OVD Admin Guide describes an option "Enable Case Insensitive Search" that could apply.

Is it possible to change OVD to return the uid values always in lowercase?
