When attempting to install a Tuxedo 10gR3 rolling patch below error is received:

Error! An existing Rolling Patch of the Tuxedo RP software has been detected on this platform.
Installation of RP will not proceed.
You must uninstall the previous RP patch before you can install the current patch.

Is it a required policy of Tuxedo?
