Goal
This document describes the procedure, updating the BIOS Settings for X2-2, X3-2, X4-2, X5-2 and X6-2 compute nodes before installing EECS 2.0.3.X.X & 2.0.6.3.X versions on Exalogic. Configuration changes such as enabling SR-IOV are required for Exalogic Virtual, but for consistency, these BIOS changes are applicable to both physical and virtual configurations.
The procedure in this document performs the following BIOS configuration changes:
- Enables SR-IOV
- Disables C-State
- Disables 64-bit resource allocation, depending on the node
NOTE:
