Symptoms

When testing connections to Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 11g Data Servers for the XML Driver and hybrid XML Driver Technologies such as:

using the latest version of the XML Driver, and the compat_mode=v3 parameter to the URL as in, for example:

you observe that:

  1. The connection tests to the corresponding XML Data Server function with no problem and are successful.
  2. The connection tests to the corresponding JMS Queue XML and/or JMS Topic XML Data server signal problems.

Why is this difference in behaviour observed between the XML Data Servers and the hybrid XML Data Servers?

Is it incorrect to expect to observe the same behavior for the same XSD file and the same XML Driver parameters?
