GWSNAX Sends Extra End Of Line Chars To CICS (Doc ID 1611803.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 19, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo Mainframe Adapter for SNA - Version 11.1.1.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When using GWSNAX to connect Tuxedo and Mainframe with "-t 1" in CLOPT, you have to configure a view file (like a representation of the Cobol COPY).

If the output buffer is not the same as input buffer then GWSNAX will choose to send the largest buffer to CICS program.

This is mandatory because for DPL, the program will return a buffer that can not be larger then the input buffer.

Some existing customer programs in CICS are checking COMMAREA length and COPY size and as they are not identical the program fails.

For these customer there is a need of having a feature that define the way GWSNAX should function.
