My Oracle Support Banner

Link In Comment Field Leads To Request Error (Doc ID 1613006.1)

Last updated on APRIL 21, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.6.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In WebCenter Spaces it is possible to comment on things.

For example, a comment can be made on a message on the message board, or on a blog. An issue occurs when someone places a url in the comment field, for example 'http://www.oracle.com'. The url becomes a link that is clickable. However, when the link is clicked, it redirects to 'http://www.oracle.com'. http://www.google.com redirects to http://www.google.nl.

As can be seen from the above examples, after the 14th character, the code is placed incorrectly. This can also be seen when hovering over the link with the mouse.
