Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Forms - Version 11.1.1.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When NOT using certificate validation things succeed. (either using JAVA control panel or setting deployment.security.validation.xxx=false )

When successfully validating (here using CRL) a privately owned certificate used to sign for example jacob.jar, things fail with:

network: Downloading resource: http://www.mycompany.com:myport/forms/java/jacob.jar
    Content-Length: 68,703
    Content-Encoding: null
.../...
security: The OCSP support is enabled
security: The CRL support is enabled
security: Failing over to CRLs: Certificate does not specify OCSP responder
.../...
cache: Adding MemoryCache entry: http://www.mycompany.com/subdir1/mycompany1.crl
security: Certificate validation succeeded using OCSP/CRL
.../...
security: User has granted the privileges to the code for this session only
..../...
