After upgrading the JDK, it is a popular question on how can one change the WebLogic Server configuration so that the new JDK is used. If not done properly, issues can occur and components may not start properly or not use the intended JDK.
Before reading this, follow the advice given in <Note 1492980.1>, "How to Install and Maintain the Java SE Installed or Used with FMW 11g/12c Products" to check certification, obtain the download location, and set up your Java directory to plan for your maintenance going forward. The Java distribution is updated regularly for security issues and you may decide to also update your Fusion Middleware and WebLogic Server environment with these updates on a regular basis.
