Threads Running OldCache.put Operations are Being Sporadically Blocked by Threads Running OldCache.prune (Doc ID 1617027.1)

Symptoms

In a Java thread dump of a Coherence node, a large number of threads are reported as blocked in calls to OldCache.put (the thread stacks have been truncated for clarity):
