How to Undo JOC Configuration in a Production Environment?
(Doc ID 1617791.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 03, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.6.0 to 11.1.1.9.180717 [Release 11g]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Purpose
There are several documents that describe how to configure JOC (Java Object Cache) for WebCenter Portal.
See for example the following documentation:
F.1 Configuring the Java Object Cache - Oracle® Fusion Middleware High Availability Guide 11g Release 1 (Part Number E10106-21)
and the following note:
Document 1146223.1 - How to Cluster a WSRP Container for Full Application Failover in 11g Environment?
However, there is no documentation that describes how to undo an existing JOC configuration. This can be important especially in a production site in the very rare event when configuring Java Object Cache becomes necessary. This document provides steps to undo the JOC configuration.
Scope
This document is intended for use by system administrators who operate production sites and need to perform JOC Configuration. Ideally, this note should be reviewed before the JOC configuration, as there are some preparation steps to perform before the actual configuration. However, if the preparation steps were not performed before the JOC configuration, the original configuration can still be restored using out-of-box install details.
