Some considerations when installing the User Interface |
Install and configure Webcenter Content Server |
Step 1) To install Content Server, follow the Webcenter Content 11.1.1.8.0 and above installation documentation. |
Step 2) Start the WLS admin server , and the Content Server and Inbound Refinery Managed Servers. |
Step 3) Enable the components required for the User Interface integration |
Step 4) Connect to the Webcenter Content Server and set WCC config.cfg parameters required for the UI |
Step 5) Restart the WCC Managed Server. |
Step 6) Make sure that Content Server index is rebuilt using OracleTextSearch. |
Step 7) Configuring Thumbnails in Content Server. |
Step 8) Connect to the Inbound Refinery at http://<hostname>:16250/ibr |
Step 9) Add an Inbound Refinery Provider. |
Step 10) Test to see that the new Provider is operational. |
Step 11) Configure File Formats that will be used by the Refinery. |
Step 12) On the Inbound Refinery, enable PDF Export Converter. |
Step 13) Set Primary Web Rendition to PDF. |
Step 14) For Webcenter Content 11.1.1.9.0 ONLY: Configuring Digital Asset Management (DAM) with Content Server. |

Install and configure Webcenter Content ADF WebUI against Webcenter Content Server |
Step 1) Install the MDS schema |
Step 2) Install the Weblogic server |
Step 3) Download and Install Oracle Application Development Framework 11gR1 (11.1.1.6.0) into the new WebUI WLS Middleware home. |
Step 4) Download and apply Patch 16546129. |
Step 5) Download and apply Patch 16546157. |
Step 6) Download and apply Patch 19469801 and then, Patch 18102108 |
Step 7) Copy the wccadf files into the UI domain |
Step 8) Register the Oracle Metadata services (MDS) in the application |
Step 9) Place the WebCenter Content user interface domain template |
Step 10) Run the configuration wizard on the new WebUI Middleware Home to create the new domain |
Step 11) Upgrade the Oracle ADF shared libraries |
Step 12) Start the WebUI Domain Admin Server |
Step 13) Register the target Managed Server with the MDS repository, and create the metadata partition |
Step 14) Start the WebUI managed server. |
Step 15) Associate the WebCenter Content user interface to Content Server. |
Step 16) Restart the ADF WebUI managed server. |
