ldapmodify not working on ldif file with multiple entries where each entry is separated by a blank line

ldapmodify should modify entries separated by a blank line in an ldif file

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Use an editor set to windows rather than unix
2. Create entries in ldif file separated by blank line where blank line contains ^M instead.
3. Run ldapmodify against the file
