When Original Domain Configuration Contains "MAXRETRY=0" The dmunloadcf Output File Cannot Be Used As dmloadcf Input (Doc ID 1618912.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 04, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo - Version 12.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Using the two Tuxedo 12cR1 utilities 'dmunloadcf' and 'dmloadcf', the output produced by the former is not usable as input by the latter:

in some configuration 'dmunloadcf' generates a "RETRY_INTERVAL=-1" which is not accepted by 'dmloadcf', here after how the dmloadcf output looks like in this context:

     RETRY_INTERVAL=-1
                        ^
ERROR: Invalid numeric value
CMDGW_CAT:1511: ERROR: Value of RETRY_INTERVAL must be >= 0. (IC = 19)
CMDGW_CAT:1546: ERROR: dmloadcf: Above errors found during syntax checking

If original Domain configuration for Local Domain contains a definition like:

LDOM1    GWGRP=LDOM1GW_GRP
         DOMAINID=LDOM1
         CONNECTION_POLICY=ON_STARTUP
         MAXRETRY=0

After you run dmloadcf then the dmunloadcf matching piece output will be:

 "LDOM1" GWGRP="LDOM1GW_GRP"
        ACCESSPOINTID="LDOM1"
        BLOCKTIME=6
        DMTLOGDEV="/home/myuser/test/ldom1_maxretry_0/dmtlog.ldom1"
        DMTLOGNAME="DMTLOG"
        MAXTRAN=500
        BLOB_SHM_SIZE=1000000
        CONNECTION_POLICY=ON_STARTUP
        RETRY_INTERVAL=-1
        MAXRETRY=0
        DYNAMIC_RAP="NO"
