How Can I Set the Java Option '-UseBiasedLocking' in an HTML Page?

You have a large number of clients accessing an applet.  Your applet runs better with the '-XX:-UseBiasedLocking' flag set.  So, you want to set this flag without having to modify the settings on all of those Windows clients.  To that end, you want to set the '-XX:-UseBiasedLocking' flag in the applet's parameters on the HTML page that serves it.  You might do that by adding a PARAM tag to the page, like this:
