This cluster is connected to a 4-node RAC cluster, using ONS to enable FCF (Grid Link). When ONS resources go offline, WLS is creating more threads, then crashes with an out of memory error (OOME). Threads are monitored using the command:
The stack spawning many threads and then the "out of memory" crash is the consequence of the ONS connection that is lost when ONS goes offline. It appears that the WebLogic Server tries to reconnect to that ONS again and again, creating each time a new thread; after a while (about 90 minutes), memory is exhausted, leading to the crash.
