How To Disable Nagle's Algorithm For Tuxedo? (Doc ID 1627929.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

For some applications, a platform's implementation of Nagle's algorithm will improve performance and for other application it will degrade performance.

For example, tpacall()/tpgetrply() and tpcall sequence get result here:

tpacall/tpgetrply time=2
tpacall/tpgetrply time=166
tpacall/tpgetrply time=1
tpacall/tpgetrply time=199
tpacall/tpgetrply time=1
tpacall/tpgetrply time=198
tpacall/tpgetrply time=1
tpacall/tpgetrply time=198

tpcall time=1
tpcall time=1
tpcall time=1
tpcall time=1
tpcall time=1
tpcall time=1
tpcall time=1
tpcall time=1

tpcall() response is stable , but tpacall/tpgetrply() delay about 200ms due to Nagle's algorithm and delayed ACK

Is there any way provided in Tuxedo to disable Nagle's algorithm use?
