Intermittent Issue while Retiring a Composite Interface in a Cluster (Doc ID 1631660.1)

Symptoms

Whenever an attempt is made to retire a composite from the EM console we are getting the following issue:
"There was an unrecoverable error - Member(Id=1, Timestamp=2014-01-19 06:33:53.317,
Unable to complete uninit due to: null; . Your cluster may be in an inconsistent state. "
