Details

WebLogic Server bundles a copy of Derby (JavaDB) that is used out of the box in WebLogic sample domains, and may also be used for development purposes. This version of Derby may fail to boot on JDK 7u51 or later JDK versions, causing errors when attempting to run WebLogic Server 10.3.6, 12.1.1, or 12.1.2. This problem may occur on any platform, and has been known to occur on common Windows platforms. This problem may also affect upper-stack Fusion Middleware products such as JDeveloper, that use the copy of Derby bundled in WebLogic Server 10.3.6, 12.1.1, or 12.1.2.
