Replicat issues explicitly column mapping CLOB when using USEDEFAULTS (Doc ID 1632801.1)

Last updated on MARCH 07, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate - Version 11.1.1.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When explicitly mapping a clob with content greater than 4K the mapping is ignored if using usedefaults and the mapping uses a function.

eg.,

GGSCI (rajesgov_us) 72> VIEW PARAMS RE
replicat rora
userid hr password hr
assumetargetdefs
map hr.t, target hr.t, colmap (
usedefaults,
y = @COLSTAT (NULL)
);

The issue is seen only if trail has lob values in segments like below

2013/12/06 11:07:23.000.000 LargeObject          Len  3020 RBA 1880
