Symptoms
On eBusiness Suite (EBS) / Oracle Applications in a cloned instance.
When trying to re-register Single Sign On (SSO) & Oracle Internet Directory (OID) get below error:
ERROR : Can not register an application which is already registered. Choose a different application name or de-register this application before registering.
Or, for example with EBS 12.1.3 resulting txkSetSSOReg_<date_time>.xml:
<message>*** ALERT: This instance is already registered with OID Server. OID Registration will be skipped.</message>
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. De-register SSO.
2. De-register OID.
3. Register OID & SSO.
