When attempting to open PDF's that have a gradient background in Firefox 24.3.0, the document opens but the background is plain rather then gradients, and

the following error occurs.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create PDF containing a gradient background
2. Open the PDF in Firefox 24.3.0 using the embedded PDF reader
3. PDF opens but displays a plain background vs. the gradient one, and the error appears at the top of the browser

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot see the intended PDF document properly using Firefox, but the document looks correct in other browsers or Adobe Acrobat causing confusion.
