How Do I Get Dynamic Converter Cache To Expire An Individual Content Item? (Doc ID 1635508.1)

Last updated on MARCH 04, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

How can system be forced to get the content server to resend an item through the dynamic conversion process without having to clear the entire cache or resubmit the entire collection?

Problem Description
---------------------------------------------------
An Oracle patch that fixed issues in the outside-in/dynamic converter filters was installed (Outside In Release 8.4.0.122), works as expected and resolved the issues.  However, Dynamic Converter caching flags are used.  Thus, the html versions of the documents don't get recreated (using the new filters) if it has an existing converted (cached) version.

Notes:
1) There are many items that need to be reconverted.
2) There is not a way to determine which items need to be reconverted.
3) Even though it is a large number of re-submissions that need to be done, it is still a small subset compared to the whole collection of documents.
