Symptoms

WebLogic Server cannot establish connections to an LDAPS multihost environment if the system property weblogic.security.providers.authentication.ldap.socketTimeout is in place. This can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Set up a WLS domain with an LDAPS authenticator. Failover gets implemented by using multiple directory server hosts (space separated values).
