Discoverer - OAM Integration GUID In Discoverer Cannot Be Accessed (Doc ID 1638355.1)

Goal

In this setup there is
LB
 webtier1
 webtier2
 wls_oam1 (and or wls_oam2)
LB balancing http requests between webtier1 and webtier1
webtier nodes serving discoverer and BI

Webgates configured on webtier1 and webtier2 protects BI application ok.
Customer tried to use the same webgates to protect Discoverer
After configuring SSO with OAM SSO,  GUID in Discoverer (plus and viewer) cannot be accessed.
This was because  SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV', 'CLIENT_IDENTIFIER') does not return a value for Discoverer

How do we solve this ?
