Oracle iPlanet Web Server Is Not Listening On The Configured Port Though The Log Shows It Starts Successfully (Doc ID 1639550.1)

Symptoms

The web server is configured to listen at 192.168.1.10 on port 8005 and the errors log shows the web server is started up successfully.  But when accessing the port 8005, the browser is getting "Unable to connect" error indicating the port is not listening.  The "netstat -rn" output doesn't show the port of 8005 is in LISTEN state either.


However, when accessing the web server on port 443, the access log doesn't show this web server is being accessed, but instead the web server on port 8005 is serving the request.
