New Property to Limit the Response Size from a Business Service (Doc ID 1640410.1)

Last updated on MAY 16, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Service Bus - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In Oracle Service Bus (OSB) a business service is invoked. The proxy invoking the service does heavy operation on response (validation, etc...) and the response sent by business service can be huge.
To avoid server overloading and out Of Memory issue it should be possible to set a threshold on the response size that will be accepted by business service.

OSB already offers property HttpMaxMsgSize but this can only be set at server level (jvm options) and it limits the message size for all services (proxies and businesses) so a new setting is needed at business service level
