How to Install a WebCenter Patch to a JDeveloper Home? (Doc ID 1641689.1)

Purpose

This document provides steps to install a WebCenter Portal patch to a JDeveloper Oracle Home in more detail than those provided in the README.txt file bundled with the patch. Also, this document guides users through the complete patching process with the help of an example, like a tutorial.

It is highly recommended that you'll be always within the latest Patchset and Bundle Patch (server and JDeveloper side). Please refer to the KM Note:1087226.1 - Recommended Patches for Oracle WebCenter Portal.

Scope

This note is intended for WebCenter Portal Administrators and Developers who install WebCenter patches to JDeveloper Oracle Home.

This note uses examples on Windows platform as that is the most common development platform.
