Tomcat shutdown corrupts InCache despite use of shutdown.jsp (Doc ID 1641845.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 21, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Sites - Version 11.1.1.8.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In order to avoid corrupting InCache files when shutting down our tomcat based Sites install, we run a shutdown.jsp prior to shutdown to initiate shutdown of InCache. However, this does not appear to be sufficient as the subsequent startup still shows that the cache was corrupted by the shutdown.
