Postscript File Shows a Hyphen Instead of a Bullet Character on Linux (Doc ID 1642073.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 22, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Reports Developer - Version 11.1.2.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When generating postscript files from Oracle Reports 11g/12c on Windows platform, letters with bullet points are included in the text. On the Linux platform, these characters print as a hyphen or dash. When running to a postscript file, the text in question can be copied and pasted into a text editor and it is displayed as a bullet.

When the file is generated as a PDF, the bullets are displayed properly.

Report is not printing as expected to Postscript format.

The bullet character should be printed instead of hyphen on Unix.

Changes
