Oracle Identity Federation (OIF) 11g has been configured as Service Provider with Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g as Service Provider (SP) Integration Module using Oracle Internet Directory (OID) as Identity Store.
Users may be disabled in the SP domain via Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) provisioning, which sets LDAP attribute orclisenabled=DISABLED in OID.
When disabled users try to access the Portal application in the SP domain locally they are denied access - authentication fails because the user is disabled.
However when SP-initiated or IdP-initiated federated SSO is performed using OIF as SP, disabled users are able to access the Portal.
