WebLogic Not Honoring -DHTTP.NONPROXYHOSTS Parameter in Unix Environment (Doc ID 1644392.1)

Symptoms

On Linux environment WLS is not honouring the parameter -Dhttp.nonProxyHosts throwing the exception "<Error> <Net> <BEA-000903> <Failed to communicate with proxy" which is not seen on windows environment with similar configuration

On LINUX environment you will get this error in the managed server logs, which is not a expected behaviour. On WINDOWS Environment you will NOT get this exception.
However when you remove the parameter: -Dhttp.nonProxyHosts=localhost|IP OF THE ADMINSERVER| IP OF MANAGED SERVER
you will get the the above error, which is expected
