SQLException After PL/SQL Package Changed

Goal
Customer observed SQLException in their application log after changes has been done on PL/SQL packages in Oracle database.
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-4068: existing state of packages has been discarded
ORA-4061: existing state of package "PACKAGENAME.PROCEDURENAME" has been invalidated
ORA-4065: not executed, altered or dropped package "PACKAGENAME.PROCEDURENAME"
ORA-6508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: "PACKAGENAME.PROCEDURENAME"
ORA-4061: existing state of package "PACKAGENAME.PROCEDURENAME" has been invalidated
ORA-4065: not executed, altered or dropped package "PACKAGENAME.PROCEDURENAME"
ORA-6508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: "PACKAGENAME.PROCEDURENAME"
They have to reset affected data source on Admin Console. Is this expected behavior? Is there any better solution for this?
