Are Additional Spaces Ignored/Considered in an Entry DN When the Server Checks for Duplicate Entries During an Import? (Doc ID 1663125.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 11, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition - Version 11.1.1.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Example:
During the LDAP data import,ie.

For Instance 1:
## WARNING: Skipping duplicate entry "CN=xxx,EMAIL=xxx@xxx,OU=xx,OU=xx,OU=xx,OU=xx,o=xx,c=xx" found at line 5890914 of file "/tmp/LDE1

Customer said in fact there are 2 similar records, they are basically identical except one commanName contains one more space just like below.
They want to import it all. So they ask how to make space sensitive in ODSEE?

Record 1: CN=ABC, EMAIL=....

Record 2: CN=ABC, EMAIL=....

Goal

Is is possible for space to be differentiate to allow two similar user records to be existed without being detected as duplicate entry?
