OUD - What are the Privileges Required to Log in to ODSM? (Doc ID 1666291.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 08, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory - Version 11.1.2.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

To use Oracle Directory Services Manager (ODSM) to manage Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) by several different administrators, and to grant access to manage OUD with ODSM to all administrators without using separate accounts on each OUD instance since it would take a lot of maintenance to maintain root users for each administrator on each OUD instance.

Questions:

[1] What privileges are required to log into ODSM?

[2] Can these privileges be granted to normal non root users?

[3] Root users are able to log into ODSM, but how to grant privileges for normal non root users?

[4] If root users are the only users that can log into ODSM, is there a way to replicate root users with other OUD instances?
