How to Map New Attributes in LDAP Server to Existing/Seeded Attributes in WebCenter Portal (Doc ID 1667444.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.4.0 to 11.1.1.9.8 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The Fusion Middleware (FMW) Security Guide lists the User attributes and their corresponding mappings in each supported LDAP server (Table D-1). For example EMPLOYEE_NUMBER attribute is mapped to employeenumber in all the LDAP Servers. As a result of this mapping, employee numbers are displayed in the user's profile in WebCenter Portal (Portal => Profile => About).

This document provides details on how to map another user attribute in the LDAP Server (say, "EmpID") to a existing/seeded attribute in WebCenter Portal (EMPLOYEE_NUMBER).

If using WebCenter Portal 12c, follow directions in the document below:
<Document 2179247.1> - How to map attributes from external LDAP to different attributes for Webcenter Portal?
