Oracle Reports shows Message "Oracle SSO" Displayed Without Giving Any Specific Error with OAM
(Doc ID 1668338.1)
Last updated on MAY 09, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Reports Developer - Version 11.1 and laterOracle Forms for OCI - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Installed and associated Oracle Forms and Reports 11gR2 with OID that is already wired with OAM. Configured Single Sign On
Testing via rwservlet URLs using WLS_REPORTS port 9002 instead of Oracle HTTP Server one. Example:
http://<HOSTNAME>:9002/reports/rwservlet?report=test.rdf&destype=cache&desformat=pdf
Oracle SSO
If the URL is executed using Oracle HTTP Server port, the URL works fine. For example, in this case, OHS port 8888 was the one configured with SSO:
http://<HOSTNAME>:8888/reports/rwservlet?report=test.rdf&destype=cache&desformat=pdf
Another scenario where this message "Oracle SSO" is displayed in an intermittent manner can be as follows:
+ 2 Reports nodes configured with SSO and a load balancer in front of them.
+ Node#2 NOT configured to use a SSO client webgate and Node#1 is well configured with webgate.
+ Node#1 Reports URL tested without load balancer is redirected to OAM for authentication.
+ Node#2 Reports URL tested without load balancer is NOT redirected to OAM for authentication.
Changes
Configured Oracle Reports with OAM and OID
