Symptoms

WebLogic managed server fails to startup. The stdout reveals the following critical error - example:

<Alert> <Management> <BEA-141151> <The Administration Server could not be reached at http://myhost:7001.>
...
<Emergency> <Configuration Management> <BEA-150014> <The Managed Server Independence feature is disabled for this server (ms1).>
...
<Critical> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000362> <Server failed. Reason: [Configuration Management:150014]The Managed Server Independence feature is disabled for this server (ms1).>
...
 <Error> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000383> <A critical service failed. The server will shut itself down.>

 

Changes

Managed Server Independence (MSI) has been disabled for server throwing the error
