Coherence MBean not Showing up for Custom Portal

The following blog was followed to setup Coherence in a custom Portal, but it is not working:
Configure Coherence for Oracle WebCenter Portal Framework Content Presenter Task Flow
The Coherence entries did not show up in the logs, and the Coherence MBean was not present in the managed server.
Furthermore, UCM Audit logging shows that every time the requests were made to UCM, so no caching is available.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Configure Coherence for a custom Portal as per the following blog Configure Coherence for Oracle WebCenter Portal Framework Content Presenter Task Flow.
2. Look at the MBeans of the managed server either from JConsole or from EM and notice that it is not present.
