MS Active Directory Integration no longer works after upgrading to 11.1.1.8.0 patch 5 (Doc ID 1675191.1)

After upgrading to 11.1.1.8.0 patch 5, users can no longer log into the UI.

With logging.ini's filterlevel=trace, it is showing that Sites is trying to search LDAP using the following filter, but its failing:

(&(cn:caseExactMatch:=fwadmin))
