OID Bundle Jar Returns Generic Connector Exception Instead Of Object Already Exists (Doc ID 1678154.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 01, 2018

Applies to:

Identity Manager Connector - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When trying to provision a user to OID and the user already exists on OID platform, the jar file returns the generic error of connector exception, instead of the correct error of object already exists. This causes a problem as there is a custom task to get the orclGUID if the user already exists, this will never be triggered by the generic error.  When the user is provisioned one sees the generic error.

The exception handling needs to be improved.
