Internal Error Accessing WebCenter Portal Pages With the Analytics Task Flows (Doc ID 1678671.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to access a page with any type of Analytics Task Flow,
the following error occurs.

ERROR

Internal Error
If the error persists, report the problem to your administrator.

 

The WC_Spaces-diagnostic.log shows the following error:

oracle.mds.exception.MDSRuntimeException: MDS-00010: DuplicateRefException. In document /persdef/oracle/webcenter/analytics/view/jsf/fragments/reportPanelPageDef.xml there are multiple elements with the same ID reportEventData.
    at oracle.mds.internal.model.dom.DOMModelDocument.insertMapNode(DOMModelDocument.java:1870)
    at oracle.mds.internal.model.dom.DOMModelDocument.insertMapNodes(DOMModelDocument.java:1792)
    at oracle.mds.internal.model.dom.DOMModelDocument.nodeAddNode(DOMModelDocument.java:1334)
...

Caused By: oracle.mds.exception.DuplicateRefException: MDS-00010: DuplicateRefException. In document /persdef/oracle/webcenter/analytics/view/jsf/fragments/reportPanelPageDef.xml there are multiple elements with the same ID reportEventData.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create a Space.
     
  2. Create a new page in the space.
     
  3. Add an Analytics Task Flow to the page.
    e.g.: Space Traffic
     
  4. Confirm the analytics task flow looks fine.
     
  5. Logout and Login back to spaces.
     
  6. Navigate back to the space.
    This should work.
     
  7. Navigate to the page with the Analytics Task Flow.
    Here it returns the error.

    The issue happens only with some users.
    The issue happens with any pages containing analytics task flows.
    It happens with old and new pages.
    Other users don't have issues.
